A Murray police officer shot at and may have wounded a suspected car thief who reportedly rammed a police car while escaping from authorities on Wednesday evening. According to police, at about 7:20 p.m. officers stopped a car with stolen Indiana license plates in a parking lot near the Fashion Place Mall, near 6200 S. State Street. When they tried to take the driver into custody, he drove away, hitting a police car and a parked vehicle.
